Should I Cover This Topic? Here is How To Make The Right Decision

Recently I've noticed a few podcasters who used to be married, and now are single. I know a few others who are struggling. I have two "Friendly" (but expensive) divorces under my belt.

My second marriage (after dating for two) lasted six years. Five and a half of those were in marriage counseling. I've read enough books on relationships to fill a library, and consequently feel I have advice that could help people.

But my audience is all about growing their downloads. Would this fly????

So what do you do if you have a new food you want to serve at your restaurant, or a song you want to put on your album, or a poem you want to put in your book.

You run it by some people you trust. Two were customers of Podpage that were listeners of my show (perfect) and a group of School of Podcasting members all said, "I would listen to that." One even said, "That is why I listen to your show you care about your audience and want them to succeed more than you want the sale (that made me feel pretty good, I gotta tell ya).

This is also where a newsletter or "Patreon Group" (even if you're not on Patreon) could come in handy. My friend Glenn Hebert from the Horse Radio Network has a group and they all give a thumbs up or down on each episode, guest, etc.

So when in doubt, ask your audience.
